Why do I use NFS.net?
Well, for one thing, because my own desktop/server is currently indefinitely switched off.
The reason I chose NFS over other hosts, however, is based around what I need from and for my website:
- *nix based hosting with SSH is a must
- No frills required - I'd much prefer NOT to have the Website Template Generator 3000, thanks
- Pay for what I use - Because I don't use much
- Access to databases, php, python, apache's special features, and all the other bells and whistles
- But if I switch the bells and whistles off when I don't need them, it saves me money!
- No advertising, obviously
- Just for fun, NFS also has Unison installed, which just so happens to be what i use to sync all of my flash drives
